It’s been 14 years since one of the most prolific figures in music left us. I was in Australia on the Good Vibrations Festival tour with many of his collaborators. It was a solemn time but everyone felt a sense of relief since we had been hearing about how sick he was and how he was trying to hold on even though he was in a lot of pain. Up until he passed on, he was cooking up some of the illest and most unconventional hip hop beats. Beats that still can’t be touched til this day.

On this episode of Across The Tracks, I decided to explore his catalog of beat tape tracks. Mostly neck snapping instrumentals with a few of his vocal appearances sprinkled in. I just appreciate his sound and I wanted to give you all an opportunity to do the same. Turn it up! Let’s go!
